Fabrication of any cooling structure
Castec can create cooling holes using a 3D printer, meaning cooling holes can be incorporated in places not available with normal machining.
This can extend the service life of pins and inserts, reduce time spent on maintenance, improve the quality of cast products, and increase productivity by shortening the time required for one-shot casting.
Castec’s Strengths
We have absolute confidence in our machining capabilities as a manufacturer of die-cast core pins and inserts, and we offer a hybrid structure that reduces costs by manufacturing the exterior of cooling structures with conventional SKD61 steel and reducing the number of 3D-printed parts. We also have full confidence in the positional accuracy of the cooling hole between the base and the molding part in hybrid manufacturing, and in terms of geometric tolerance we can achieve a coaxiality of φ0.1.
